Acceptable Use Policy

Effective date: June 1, 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs the use of IT KORR managed IT services, hosted infrastructure, colocation services, network resources, and related platforms. This policy applies to all clients, users, and organizations that access IT KORR services directly or through a managed service arrangement.

Compliance with this policy is a condition of service. IT KORR reserves the right to suspend or terminate services for violations of this policy.

Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited when using IT KORR services, infrastructure, or network resources:

Network Abuse

  • Consuming excessive bandwidth in a manner that degrades service quality for other clients
  • Operating open mail relays, proxies, or anonymization services without prior written authorization
  • Conducting or facilitating distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks against any system
  • Port scanning, network probing, or vulnerability scanning of systems you do not own or have explicit authorization to test
  • Traffic amplification or reflection attacks of any kind

Spam & Unsolicited Communications

  • Sending unsolicited bulk email (spam) or unsolicited commercial messages
  • Operating email campaigns that violate the CAN-SPAM Act, CASL, or applicable anti-spam legislation
  • Harvesting email addresses or personal information for unsolicited contact
  • Spoofing email headers or misrepresenting the origin of communications

Malware & Security Threats

  • Hosting, distributing, or transmitting malware, ransomware, spyware, or other malicious software
  • Operating command-and-control infrastructure for botnets or malware campaigns
  • Conducting phishing, credential harvesting, or social engineering attacks
  • Exploiting security vulnerabilities in any system without explicit written authorization from the system owner

Unauthorized Access

  • Accessing, or attempting to access, systems, accounts, or data without authorization
  • Circumventing authentication mechanisms, access controls, or security monitoring
  • Using IT KORR infrastructure to gain unauthorized access to third-party systems
  • Sharing credentials or access in a manner that bypasses access controls

Intellectual Property Violations

  • Hosting or distributing software, media, or content in violation of copyright or licensing terms
  • Operating warez, torrent indexing, or similar content distribution platforms
  • Using IT KORR infrastructure to circumvent digital rights management (DRM) systems

Illegal Activity

  • Any activity that violates applicable federal, state, or local law
  • Hosting content that is illegal under applicable law, including content that constitutes fraud, harassment, or threats
  • Facilitating illegal financial transactions, money laundering, or sanctions violations

Responsible Use Standards

Organizations using IT KORR managed services and infrastructure are expected to maintain responsible operational practices, including:

  • Maintaining current and patched operating systems and application software
  • Implementing access controls appropriate to the sensitivity of data hosted on IT KORR infrastructure
  • Promptly reporting suspected security incidents, unauthorized access, or policy violations to IT KORR
  • Cooperating with IT KORR in security investigations that involve infrastructure under management
  • Maintaining business continuity and backup governance aligned with IT KORR recommendations

Service Suspension Rights

IT KORR reserves the right to immediately suspend or terminate services — without prior notice — if, in IT KORR's sole judgment, a client's use of services:

  • Violates any provision of this Acceptable Use Policy
  • Creates a security risk to IT KORR's infrastructure or other clients
  • Results in complaints from third parties or regulatory bodies
  • Exposes IT KORR to legal liability or reputational harm

Where practical, IT KORR will notify clients prior to suspension and provide an opportunity to remediate. However, where the violation poses an immediate threat to infrastructure security or stability, suspension may occur without advance notice.

Service suspensions for AUP violations do not relieve clients of financial obligations under any active service agreement.

Reporting Violations

If you observe activity that appears to violate this Acceptable Use Policy — including network abuse, spam originating from IT KORR infrastructure, or security incidents — please report it to [email protected]. IT KORR takes abuse reports seriously and will investigate all credible reports.

Changes to This Policy

IT KORR may update this Acceptable Use Policy as needed to address evolving threats, regulatory requirements, or operational changes. Clients and users will be notified of material changes through applicable service communications. Continued use of IT KORR services after policy updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
